Asus Inviets You to the World GameMaster 2008 Finals

On October 25 and 26, 2008, SM Cyberzone in SM Marikina will become the battle arena for the best DotA, CounterStrike, and Need for Speed gamers in the country. Watch as 16 teams and 7 players fight it out to be declared as THE Philippine Game Masters in the ASUS World GameMaster Tournament 2008 (WGT) Finals.

For DotA, ACG Philippine team Mineski composed of Ronald “Roro” Robins, Rick “Dix” Robins, Jose “Bong” Silva, Anthony “Tony” Mazzini and Rhymel “Memel” Olete will be battling it out Davao Champion Nomets, and Cebu Champion Schooled. Nomets (sponsored and managed by DotAStrategy.com) was one of the final teams who fought it out in the ACG Philippine Preliminaries. It is composed of Jay Nolvic “YajQt” Arabia, Bernard Dale “Burnz” Flores, Neil Bryan “Subang” Padilla, Franco “Cocoy” Villaroman, and Paul John Limlao. Meanwhile, Schooled is relatively new in the national gaming arena but has been consistently joining online tournaments. It is composed of Crisostomo Tan, Manuel Amoroso, Romeo Arsua, Rueseph Clark Engis, and Rodrigo Godinez.

Metro Manila teams EZ, Homeboyz, and The0s, Davao Team FK, and Cebu Team eXs will also be joining the finals.

For Counterstrikes, the contenders are Metro Manila Teams laQs, Mineski.CS (formerly HoA), Suspect, and Force. Playing against them are Davao’s famed DC Clan, and Bratz.X02, and Cebu’s MOTV and MLP.

For Need for Speed, Metro Manila will be represented by Israel Magante, Darnel Tamundong, Jessie Bello, and Richard Matias. The South’s representatives are Carl Poblete, Johny Peralta, and Karl Roncesvalles.
